The Power of Meaning in Branding (A Legacy Fulfilled Story)
Many people think branding is about how something looks.
But the most powerful brands?
They’re about what something means.
That was exactly the case with Legacy Fulfilled Leadership Coaching.
My client came to me after a successful career as a Fortune 30 executive. On paper, she had achieved everything many leaders strive for.
But, like so many high performers, she had reached a point where success no longer felt aligned with her.
And that realization became the foundation of her work—helping other leaders move beyond achievement and into something deeper: fulfillment, purpose, and meaningful impact.
The Real Work Behind the Brand
This wasn’t about creating something that simply looked polished enough for Fortune 500 clients (though it needed to do that too).
We needed to develop a brand that spoke about going from burnout to clarity, in terms of what you want your legacy to be. It needed to speak to people looking to go from constant “doing” to intentional leadership. And even more importantly, it needed to help leaders see that their external success needed to come with internal alignment - and that was a possibility within reach.
Her audience is made up of accomplished leaders who don’t need more credentials. They need reconnection—to themselves, their purpose, and how they lead.
The Detail That Changed Everything
During our process, she shared something personal.
A tattoo she has—a pause symbol.
For her, it’s a reminder to stop. To breathe. To choose intentionally.
And that became the turning point in the brand.
Because that’s where the meaning lived.
The key to your legacy is to PAUSE and consider what you want that to be.
More Than a Logo
In her words:
“She integrated personal elements that are incredibly meaningful to me, creating a logo that represents both a leadership unlock and a personal reminder to pause and breathe.”
That’s the difference between a logo and a brand you carry with you.
We didn’t just design something that looked professional; we created a brand that reflects her story, making it memorable for her to talk about and share. It reinforces her message and gives her a tangible reminder of why she does this work.
The key icon symbolizes unlocking potential and purpose. The visual system supports a message rooted in intentional leadership and meaningful growth.
But the real power isn’t in the visuals.
It’s in the connection.

The Lesson
Here’s what I’ve learned after years of building brands:
The strongest brands don’t just communicate your business.
They anchor you to it.
They remind you of who you are, what you stand for and how you show up.
When your brand means something to you, it becomes infinitely more powerful to everyone else.

A Question Worth Asking
If your brand disappeared tomorrow…would anything feel lost? Would you simply recreate something that “looks good”?
Keep in mind - the goal isn’t just to have a brand you can show. It’s to have one you carry—with intention, clarity, and purpose.
Let’s find the meaning in your brand and build one for you that anchors everything else. Email me at theresa@wilmotdesigns.com and we’ll explore how to make that happen.
